Bids Assistant

At VWV we pride ourselves in providing quality legal advice and ensuring that our clients are at the centre of all that we do.  How we market our legal services and brand reputation rests in the capable hands of our inhouse colleagues in our Marketing & BD Department.

We are pleased to say that due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a Bids Assistant to join the team on a full time basis.

Is This Your Next Career Move?

As a Bids Assistant, you'll work closely with the Bids and Contracts Manager and the Bid Team to contribute to the success of our firm by creating high-quality, often complex, bids and proposals. Your role is crucial in supporting the Firm's efforts to win, retain, and generate profitable business.

In collaboration with the Manager and Executives, you'll manage bid opportunities which includes overseeing notification tools and software to capture relevant opportunities and discussing received opportunities with the Manager for appropriate action. You'll also work closely with partners, lawyers, and team members to facilitate the preparation and submission of bids and proposals.

Other duties will involve file creation, diary management, minute-taking, and maintaining various team tools. Conducting market research is a key responsibility to support bid opportunities, industry trends, competitor intelligence, and client insights. You'll review and proofread bid documents to ensure quality standards, compliance with client requirements, and effective representation of the firm's expertise.

And it doesn't stop there! Additionally, you'll be involved in coordinating the firm-wide Directories process, managing submissions in accordance with deadlines, and ensuring all supporting information is up to date.

So Who Are We Hoping Will Apply?

You're a highly organised and detail-oriented person with excellent administrative skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to manage multiple deadlines effectively and work under pressure. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, with the capability to interact confidently with individuals at all levels of the business.

A keen eye for spelling and grammar is crucial, and prior experience in working with bid processes would be advantageous. If you are a proactive and process driven professional looking to contribute to a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply.

Enjoy using your own initiative? Great! Your eagerness to get stuck in and make a valuable contribution is just what we're looking for.
