Bids Executive

Are you a natural project juggler with a flair for crafting compelling bids that win business? Do you thrive under pressure and love working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment? If so, we'd love to hear from you!

We're on the lookout for a proactive, detail-driven Bids Executive to join our dynamic Business Development and Marketing team. You'll play a central role in helping us win and retain profitable business across the firm—supporting high-quality, often complex bids and proposals that make a real impact.

About The Role

6 month fixed term contract - Bristol

In this role, you'll support the Bids and Contracts Manager and play a key part in driving the strategic growth of the firm by helping us win and retain profitable business through the creation of high-quality, often complex bids and proposals. You'll be deeply involved in all stages of the bid process—from identifying opportunities and managing submissions to gathering feedback and improving future outcomes.

You'll work closely with colleagues across the firm, including senior lawyers, sector and service leads, and our finance and pricing teams. From managing bid projects and coordinating input, to crafting compelling content that stands out, you'll be instrumental in developing submissions that are both technically compliant and commercially competitive. You'll also help rehearse and prepare for interview presentations, while supporting internal initiatives to refine our processes, dashboards, and supporting tools.

This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where every day brings something new. It's ideal for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys working collaboratively, and takes pride in producing work of the highest standard.

About You

You'll bring strong bid management experience from a busy, deadline-driven environment and a calm, organised approach to handling multiple priorities. You have a knack for writing persuasive, clear, and well-structured content, with exceptional attention to detail and excellent grammar and spelling.

Your ability to communicate confidently at all levels of the business—both in person and in writing—means you're comfortable liaising with senior lawyers and stakeholders to coordinate input, clarify requirements, and influence decisions. You understand how to balance competing demands, meet tight deadlines, and remain flexible and positive under pressure.

Experience working within a professional services environment will be an advantage, but more important is your enthusiasm for contributing to the success of a collaborative team, your drive to improve processes, and your willingness to learn and adapt. Added bonus if you've got experience of managing local\central government legal services bids. If you enjoy combining creativity with structure and thrive when you're trusted to take the lead, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
