Collections Cashier

At VWV we pride ourselves in providing quality legal advice and ensuring that our clients are at the centre of all that we do.  Our finance department play a crucial role in keeping the firm running smoothly and efficiently. Its hard work behind the scenes is instrumental to maintaining our strong reputation. Due to exciting growth, we are looking for a Collections Cashier to join us on a full time basis.

Is This Your Next Career Move?

As we continue to grow as a firm, our finance department are only getting busier which has led to a brand new opportunity in our Bristol office. You'll provide finance assistance supporting both internal and external clients. Your main objective is to process and allocate client invoice receipts into the accounting system and ensure records are up to date. Ensuring transactions are dealt with in a timely manner will also be a key task of yours.

If you have an interest in developing a career within finance and would enjoy learning new systems and processes, this could be the role for you.  

And if in the future you're keen to learn about other areas in finance, or perhaps even look to qualify, the support will be there for you. 

Where Will I Be Working?

Prior to the pandemic, we'd made a commitment to our approach in respect of flexible working requests, being open to new ways of working that enabled everyone to work more effectively.  Our people are currently increasing their time working from the offices, where our lovely culture is clear to see.  We work hard but we also have fun, and we've missed that social interaction with each other that really embeds that culture.  We have virtual meeting capability so we can stay in close contact across the offices or when working from home. 

Whilst there will be some requirement to work from the Bristol office, especially whilst training, our flexible and agile approach means that we're happy to discuss hybrid working arrangements with candidates on an individual basis.

So Who Are We Hoping Will Apply?

You'll have some experience working in an accounts team, or have a relevant degree. Perhaps you are currently a Collections Cashier looking for a new challenge, or maybe you have had some dealings with finance as part of your role and would like to pursue a career in this area. Whatever your motivation, your friendly and positive attitude will fit right in with the team.

Although familiarity of working in a law firm will be beneficial, it's not essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as solid IT skills, in particular MS Excel will surely help you hit the ground running.
