Compliance Officer

VWV have a new opportunity to join us as a Compliance Officer in Bristol, to bring the firm's information security risks, business continuity programme under management control through the Information Security Management System.

Is This Your Next Career Move?

You'll work closely with the project team by assisting in the implementation and maintenance of the ISO program. You'll also support the representatives of the key areas of the business involved in the project and produce the documentation and other records needed to achieve and maintain certification.

This role is sure to keep you busy with the goal of achieving these ISO accreditations, followed by ongoing monitoring. You'll be responsible for a variety of tasks such as preparation and implementation of information security policies and standards, assisting with risk assessments, compliance monitoring and improvement activities and more.

If you are looking to add tremendous value and join a dedicated project team with clear objectives, we encourage you to apply.

Where Will I Be Working?

Prior to the pandemic, we'd made a commitment to develop our approach in respect of flexible working requests, being open to new ways of working that enabled everyone to work more effectively.  Our people are currently increasing their time working from the offices, where our lovely culture is clear to see.  We work hard but we also have fun, and we've missed that social interaction with each other that really embeds that culture.  We have virtual meeting capability so we can stay in close contact across the offices or when working from home.

Whilst there will be some requirement to work from the Bristol office, especially whilst training, our flexible and agile approach means that we're happy to discuss hybrid working arrangements with candidates on an individual basis.

So Who Are We Hoping Will Apply?

Your solid experience and working knowledge of ISO 27001 and other ISO accreditation's (ISO 22301, 9001 and 14001) is exactly what we are looking for. Perhaps you are currently in a similar role and looking for change of environment? Or seeking a new opportunity to make a valued contribution by assisting with the implementation and maintenance of the ISO program? Whatever your motivations, we'd love to hear from you.

You've probably had experience with risk assessments and producing relevant documentation in accordance with the ISO standards. And your technical knowledge (network, systems) will certainly help.

Familiar with working in a law firm? Great! If not, any professional services experience is beneficial.
