Events Executive

Looking for an exciting role where you can take the lead on delivering outstanding events? We're searching for a proactive and organised Events Executive to join our team on a six-month contract. If you love planning, thrive under pressure, and have a knack for making events unforgettable, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Is This Your Next Career Move?

As an Events Executive at VWV, you'll be at the heart of our events, making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. You'll manage a variety of events, including webinars, face-to-face networking sessions, and conferences across our different offices and brands, including VWV Plus, Narrow Quay HR, and VWV Approach.

Your role will involve everything from choosing the perfect venue and working with suppliers to ensuring every detail is in place. You'll be the go-to person for colleagues and stakeholders, keeping everyone informed and making sure each event is an unforgettable experience. After the event, you'll review what worked well and what can be improved, always striving for excellence.

You'll take the lead in planning and executing events, making sure every aspect is covered, from logistics and budgeting to branding and communication. You'll work closely with the marketing and communications teams to promote events and ensure strong attendance. On the day, you'll be there to oversee everything, making sure everything runs smoothly and that both attendees and stakeholders have a great experience.

After the event, you'll follow up with feedback, measure success and look for ways to improve future events. You'll also handle supplier relationships, negotiate costs and keep track of budgets, ensuring events are delivered efficiently.

Where Will I Be Working?

At VWV we have a truly unique and engaging culture that we hold dear. We work hard but we also love to have fun and we recognise that it's the social interaction between us that really shapes our culture.

Whilst we work to a hybrid model, for this role we would like you to work from our Bristol office 2-3 days per week, but please note travel to our other office locations is required as and when. We are of course happy to discuss any specific requirements of hybrid working with candidates on an individual basis.

Why Choose Us?

There are so many reasons to stop and explore VWV further.  We're known for our friendly and welcoming culture where teamwork and collaboration are key.  There's no pigeon-holing or glass ceilings here, just a professional yet relaxed culture where you can finally be yourself.  We invite you to watch this short video on the right-hand side to see what our own people have to say about us.

We're striving to be an inclusive employer, to create a workplace and environment that promotes and values diversity, where everyone, regardless of background, can reach their full potential. Contact our recruiter to discuss any adjustments needed so we can make this the best possible candidate experience for you.

Who Are We Hoping Will Apply?

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, great at multitasking, and has fantastic communication skills. You'll need to be comfortable taking ownership of projects, making decisions, and staying calm under pressure. The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers is essential, as is keeping up to date with the latest trends in events management.

Ideally, you'll have experience in events management, but what's more important is your ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organised, and deliver outstanding experiences. A background in public relations, communications, business, or marketing would be an advantage but isn't essential.

At VWV, we're passionate about bringing people together through well-organised and engaging events. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a varied events portfolio in a supportive and collaborative team. You'll have the chance to work on exciting projects, meet interesting people, and make a real impact.

If you love organising events, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a friendly and professional team, we'd love to hear from you.
