Innovation Manager

About the Opportunity
As the Innovation Manager, you'll strategically guide the firm's innovation efforts, ensuring they align seamlessly with our long-term goals. Working closely with clients, legal professionals, and cross-functional teams, you'll oversee innovation initiatives that address real needs while spearheading a culture of collaboration and creativity across the firm. You'll lead our talented Innovation team (you may have noticed we're also recruiting for a Legal Engineer who'll report in to you) using your expertise to mentor and foster an open, empowering environment that encourages creativity at all levels.
In addition to developing new solutions, you'll be a thought leader in spotting emerging trends, from Generative AI to advanced legal tech, proactively bringing opportunities to the table. Through comprehensive market research, strategic planning, and a commitment to continuous improvement, you'll ensure the firm not only meets but anticipates future challenges and client demands. Using Design Thinking and other user-centric methodologies, you'll drive a culture of experimentation, resilience, and ethical innovation.
About You
We're looking for a visionary with proven experience in managing innovation within a corporate or legal setting. You'll have a blend of technical know-how and strategic vision, with a knack for creating practical solutions that make a difference. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills are crucial, as you'll work with diverse teams and bring big ideas to life.
Experience in designing, prototyping, and building value-driven solutions using no-code platforms is a plus, as is a passion for leveraging data to guide decisions. Familiarity with Generative AI technologies, program management experience, and a background in law, technology, or professional services are also highly valued.
