Junior Business Intelligence Engineer

Are you a data enthusiast with a passion for technology and making a real impact? About the Opportunity

In this role, you'll be integral to developing and maintaining scalable data solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the firm. You'll collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand data needs and will help design efficient, impactful solutions. From day one, you'll have hands-on opportunities to learn and apply data engineering best practices, gaining exposure to data lakes, ETL pipelines, and cloud technologies, while building out skills in Power BI to craft meaningful visualisations.

You'll start by working alongside senior team members to understand the technical requirements and infrastructure of our data systems, ensuring that data storage, transformation, and retrieval processes are optimized for performance. Under mentorship, you'll begin creating data pipelines to move and refine data for analysis. As you gain experience, you'll be encouraged to develop a keen eye for detail and accuracy in all reporting and analysis, as even small errors in data interpretation can have significant impacts.

Building proficiency in Power BI, you'll create interactive dashboards and visualisations that communicate complex data in a clear, actionable way, helping various departments make informed decisions. You'll learn how to structure data for easy access and analysis and will be encouraged to explore different visualization techniques, styles, and layouts. Over time, you'll contribute to the creation of a library of configurations, datasets, and data processes, making it easy for other team members and stakeholders to understand and leverage our data systems.

About You

It's not only technical capability we're looking for but also a strong customer focus, as you'll work directly with end users and stakeholders to ensure their data needs are met. A customer-centric mindset will help you refine and tailor solutions, adapting to feedback and continuously improving the relevance and impact of your work.

You'll ideally have a background in Computer Science, IT, or a similar field, with some experience or coursework in business intelligence and data visualisation. You bring a foundational knowledge of data models, databases, and BI tools like Power BI, and are open to expanding your expertise in data engineering. Above all, you're enthusiastic about learning, growing, and making an impact.

This is more than just a job—it's a chance to kickstart your career in business intelligence and data engineering within a team that's focused on innovation and excellence. If you're ready to dive into a role that challenges you, nurtures your potential, and gives you the chance to shape data strategy in a respected law firm, we want to hear from you.
