A paralegal role at VWV provides the perfect building blocks for future trainee solicitors looking to gain experience ahead of starting a training contract or even to assist with applications for training contracts themselves and that's due to the variety of legal disciplines you'll be exposed to.  We're proud of our record in transitioning a good proportion of our existing paralegals into trainee solicitors.

This is a fantastic opportunity to move into tax law or develop your existing knowledge under the guidance of qualified lawyers . You will be working closely with a Tax Partner in London, you'll take responsibility for administrative tasks and routine legal work under supervision in order to support the delivery of high-quality tax services to our clients (both internal and external).

So Who Are We Hoping Will Apply?

You'll have some form of legal academics, whether that be a law degree, law conversion, LPC or SQE. Previous paralegal or similar experience in a law firm (or professional services firm), particularly in tax, will naturally help you transition into the role more smoothly. By no means is it essential, as we're much more interested in those all-important soft skills and your strong interest in tax that really excites us, as we are keen to keep building on the existing passion for the sector.

This is a busy role so you'll be organised, an excellent all-round communicator with proficient IT skills using Microsoft Office and someone who's motivated by the team's successes ahead of their own.  And whilst there's no doubt that time spent in a commercial law firm of this size will naturally enhance your commercial acumen, we love to see applications from graduates whose commercial awareness is instinctive so if that's you, then we really want to hear from you.

Your willingness to learn, keen initiative, pro-active approach coupled with your interest in tax and ability to pick things up quickly is exactly what we're hoping for.
