VWV's busy People team provides expert human resources advice covering the entire employee lifecycle to managers and colleagues across the whole firm. With the firm continuing to grow, we're growing too, creating two new roles within the team.

One of these is an exciting opportunity for an experienced People Business Partner to join us and play a key role in supporting our people and managers across the firm.

About the opportunity.

Our Business Partners are aligned to a number of legal and business services teams across our office locations. Working closely with Partners and Directors they provide proactive input to support the delivery of business plans through our people.

A positive and flexible approach will fit our supportive team ethos. We're all committed to continuing our personal and professional development, working closely together and sharing our knowledge.

At VWV we work hard but we also enjoy fun and we recognise that it's the social interaction between us that really embeds our culture. Our hybrid working approach enables a mix of office and home working. In these roles you'll be expected to work from our refurbished Bristol office usually two or three days a week. 

About you.

You've already gained a good range of HR experience and skills, including handling confidential and sensitive matters professionally and with discretion. Able to prioritise effectively, you'll manage a workload of regular and ad hoc tasks, alongside proactive project work. Excellent communication skills in writing and in person are a must. A collaborative approach is central to our culture, and the People team lead by example.

Ideally having worked in a professional services environment, you'll be curious to quickly understand our business and culture, to offer tailored and practical HR support. Our People team are flexible and open, balancing ongoing business priorities with projects for improvement. No two days are the same, and you'll thrive on a busy, varied range of HR work, both transactional and proactive in nature. your partnering experience across a range of work types will enable you to quickly understand our firm and to build strong relationships and credibility with managers and leaders in different teams.
