Senior IT Security Analyst
Keeping information safe is a big responsibility — and it's one we take seriously. We're looking for a Senior IT Security Analyst to join our team in Bristol and help protect the systems and data that our people and clients rely on every day.
This is a hands-on role in a busy, supportive environment where security is part of everything we do, not an afterthought. You'll be trusted to use your experience, judgement and curiosity to help keep the firm secure and resilient as technology and threats continue to evolve.
If you enjoy practical security work, problem-solving and working closely with others to make things better, this could be a great next step.
About the Role
You'll be involved in the day-to-day running of our information security controls, keeping a close eye on our networks, endpoints and cloud platforms. When alerts come in, you'll investigate what's going on, assess the risk, and take action to resolve issues or escalate them when needed.
You'll work with a range of security tools — from endpoint protection and vulnerability management to email security and identity controls — and help make sure they're running effectively. Regular vulnerability scanning, patch coordination and keeping risk registers up to date will all be part of your role.
You'll also help make sure we stay compliant with standards and regulations like GDPR, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus and SRA requirements. That means reviewing controls, updating policies, supporting audits and helping improve how we do things over time.
Beyond the technical work, you'll support colleagues across IT and the wider business, contribute to security awareness campaigns and phishing simulations, and get involved in projects where security input is needed. There may be occasional out-of-hours work, particularly for planned activities or incident response.
About You
You have solid experience working in information security and a good all-round understanding of how to protect systems, networks and data in a real-world environment. You're comfortable working with security frameworks and putting them into practice, rather than just talking about them.
You've got hands-on experience with tools like endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners, email security controls and identity platforms, along with a good understanding of Windows environments, networking, Microsoft 365, Azure and Intune. You enjoy digging into alerts, understanding how threats work, and figuring out the best way to respond.
You're organised, proactive and happy working independently, but also enjoy being part of a team and supporting others. You're able to explain security issues clearly and calmly, without unnecessary jargon, and you take pride in doing things properly.
Most importantly, you're curious and keen to keep learning — staying up to date with new threats, technologies and ways of working, and helping improve security step by step.
